Tools for the workbench

I tinker - and the things I build to scratch my own itch end up here. If they save you an evening of fiddling, they have done their job.

What's on the bench

Two tools right now. Both grew out of a problem I kept running into.

How these tools are built

Three rules I hold myself to, because they are the ones I wish more tools followed.

๐Ÿ“ฆ

Works out of the box

No config marathon before you see a result. Sensible defaults first, knobs to turn once you actually need them.

๐Ÿ”“

Yours to keep

Open source, no account, no telemetry, no upsell. Fork it, gut it, rebuild it for your own bench - that is the point.

๐Ÿ”ง

Built by using it

Every one of these started as a problem on my own workbench. If a feature never got used, it never got built.

Got an idea, or something broken?

Bug reports, feature wishes and pull requests are all welcome - so is a plain "this helped me". Best way to reach me is GitHub or email.
